A popular fast service restaurant chain known for its spicy chicken has leased a new space in Shelby Township . It appears that Dave’s Hot Chicken is coming to Hall Road Crossing at 13987 Hall Rd .

The new restaurant is owned and operated by multi-unit franchisee Michael Ansley , who also opened the East Lansing Dave’s Hot Chicken, as previously reported by What Now Detroit . Ansley is the CEO of Hot North Chicken, L.L.C. and a seasoned former franchisee for Buffalo Wild Wings. Ansley is also the current CEO of Beggar Dave’s , a restaurant chain with 26 locations.

The first Michigan Dave’s Hot Chicken opened in October 2021. The chain currently has locations in Warren, Troy, Southfield, Howell, and Dearborn. The upcoming Shelby Township location will occupy a 1,518 square-foot space that previously belonged to Boston Market. Ansley confirmed with What Now Detroit that the new location is anticipated to open on July 12th .
