    Graduation ceremonies for the classes of 2024 at Shelby County public schools are in the books. Tenaha started the process with May 10 with Center, Joaquin, Shelbyville, and Timpson following on Friday, May 24.

    Center High School presented diplomas to 140 students Friday evening at Roughrider Stadium. Addresses were delivered by Salutatorian Brannon Denby and Valedictorian Damien Horton. CISD Superintendent Dr. Brian Morris addressed the graduates. High School Principal Otis Amy presented the class of 2024 as ready for graduation.

    Tenaha’s High School commencement ceremony included scholarship presentations. Ceremonies were conducted May 10 in the Tenaha ISD Special Events Center. Principal Marlon Byrdsong addressed graduates. Fifty-four seniors were awarded scholarships.

    Joaquin High School graduated 49 seniors Friday night. Valedictorian Shelby Freeman and Salutatorian Autumn Webb presented commencement addresses. A fireworks show followed graduation exercises.

    Shelbyville High School graduation ceremonies were held at the gymnasium Friday evening. Salutatorian Liela Klein and Valedictorian Kason Parker delivered addresses. Principal Mario Osby presented the class of 2024 affirming students had meet all graduation requirements.

    Timpson High School graduation ceremonies were conducted at the Timpson ISD Event Center Friday. Valedictorian William Tate Barnes and Salutatorian, Kallie Nicole Solomon delivered graduation addresses. Superintendent Dr. Mid Johnson and High School Principal Jerrod Campbell presented and affirmed seniors ready to graduate.
