Beaufort’s Tim Dorrill, 53, joined the United States Marine Corps in Charlotte, N.C., in 1991. After Boot Camp at Paris Island, he trained in Aviation Ordnance before serving at MCAS New River, N.C. While assigned there, he deployed to Twentynine Palms and aboard USS WASP (LHD-1) to Haiti during an uprising there.
