Enosburg resident arrested on warrant after Berkshire disturbance
BERKSHIRE — A 40-year-old Enosburg resident was arrested on an active warrant following a disturbance on Route 105 on July 22. Sidney Pecor was apprehended by Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks after they responded to the incident around 7:57 p.m. Pecor, identified as the individual involved in the disturbance, was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant.
Judge declares mistrial in case of Vermont sheriff accused of kicking inmate
NORTH HERO, Vt. (AP) — A judge has declared a mistrial after the jury deadlocked in the case of a Vermont sheriff accused of kicking an inmate. Franklin County Sheriff John Grismore was charged with simple assault for kicking a shackled inmate in 2022 when he was a captain with the department. The jury on Wednesday spent four hours deliberating before telling the judge it could not reach a unanimous decision.

Burglars steal chainsaws, cash from Cambridge business
CAMBRIDGE — An early morning burglary at Pro Power left the business without several chainsaws and a small safe full of cash, Vermont State Police reported. Authorities were called to the scene at 286 Old Rt 15 at about 6 a.m. after the owner, Adam Porter of Milton, discovered the front door glass smashed and the items missing.
