2 men shot during late-night pool party in west Houston
A late-night pool party in west Houston turned violent in the early hours of Monday morning, ending in two men being shot. The incident happened around 12:50 a.m. at the 10940 block of Meadowglen when an altercation broke out at the noisy gathering. According to reports, the altercation escalated when an individual, who was disturbed by the ongoing party, came out and opened fire on the attendees. Both victims were shot in the buttocks.

At best it was overblown, overwritten, yet blessed by its use of most of the original screenplay by Noel Langley, Florence Ryerson, and Edgar Allan Woolf; all the songs by Harold Arlen and E. Y. (“Yip”) Harburg (even one dropped after the film's preview, “The Jitterbug”); and a lot of juicy bits from Herbert Stothart's Oscar-winning score. (Inconceivably, Stothart that year beat out Max Steiner's magnificent opus Gone With the Wind for Best Musical Score.)
HPD investigate: Man found dead inside storage closet
HOUSTON (KIAH) – A man in his mid-twenties was found deceased inside of an apartment unit storage closet located at 9450 Woodfair on July 21. According to reports, the victim had been shot.
