Philly Chicken Sandwich Recipe: Easy and Delicious!

This is a sandwich that my family truly loves and requests often. It is a simple recipe to make and you can cook it on a griddle grill or in a large skillet. You will need the following ingredients:

Recipe:

1 pound of boneless chicken breast

1/2 of an onion

1/2 of an bell pepper

salt and pepper to taste

4 sandwich rolls

1 tablespoon of cooking oil

1 cup of monterery jack cheese, shredded or sliced

1 teaspoon of longhorn seasoning (my recipe linked below)

Trim and slice the chicken breast into thin slices and then slice it again and make it into tiny pieces.

Slice the bell pepper and onion into thin slices and seperate the onions into individual pieces.

Preheat a large skillet to medium high heat. Add the oil.

Carefully add the chicken, salt, pepper and longhorn seasoning and cook until the chicken is almost cooked through. About 5 - 7 minutes.

Add the peppers and onions and cook until the vegetables and the chicken is cooked through to a internal temperature of 165 degrees.

Turn the skillet off and sprinkle the cheese over the meat and vegetables and let the cheese melt. You could also place this under the broiler in your oven.

Add this mixture onto the sandwich rolls. Enjoy!

Note: You could add any cheese that is your favorite melting cheese and you could also add mushrooms if you like those on your philly sandwiches.

I like to serve these sandwiches with a side of chips or just as it is. It is a hearty sandwich that doesn't need much added to it to make a meal.
