A Shiloh man has been arrested and charged in the stabbing of a person over 60, police said.

Duran M. Robinson, 30, of the 2600 block of Windsor Crest Court in Shiloh, faces felony charges of aggravated battery to a victim over 60, armed violence and possession of a weapon by felon, the Shiloh Police Department said in a news release.

The victim suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries in the stabbing and was taken to a hospital.

Robinson was arrested after police responded to a call at about 10:20 a.m. Wednesday regarding a stabbing outside of a home in the 2200 block of Richland Prairie Boulevard in Shiloh.

“Upon officer’s arrival in the area, they observed the suspect who fled,” the news release stated. “A short foot pursuit occurred, and the suspect was taken into custody.”

Robinson, who was charged on Friday, has a pretrial detention hearing scheduled for Monday afternoon.

St. Clair County court records do not list a defense attorney for Robinson, who was being held in the St. Clair County Jail on Monday morning.
