Las Vegas Aces’ star A’ja Wilson continues to carve her place in WNBA history, shattering multiple records in an already impressive season.

In the Aces’ 87-71 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks on August 18, the reigning WNBA Finals MVP and Defensive Player of the Year added another milestone to her resume.

Wilson set a new league record with her 17th game this season scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, surpassing the previous mark of 16 games she set herself last year.

Her dominant performance didn’t stop there. Wilson also became the first player in WNBA history to score at least 20 points and collect 10 rebounds in eight consecutive games, further cementing her legacy as one of the league’s most dominant forces.

Over her last eight games, Wilson has averaged an astonishing 29.3 points, 14.4 rebounds, and 3.6 blocks per game, with a field goal percentage of 53% (85-of-161) and an incredible 93.3% (56-of-60) from the free-throw line.

Her consistent excellence has been a driving force behind the Aces’ success this season.

Wilson also became the first player in league history to record multiple games with at least 30 points, 10 rebounds, and five steals.

With this achievement, she joins Candace Parker, Sylvia Fowles, and Angel Reese as one of only four players to record eight consecutive double-doubles in WNBA history.

The accolades don’t stop there. Wilson’s recent surge includes tying a WNBA record she already shared with Diana Taurasi by scoring at least 24 points in eight straight games.

Additionally, her two blocks against the Sparks brought her career total to 417, placing her 12th on the all-time WNBA block list. With 13 rebounds in the game, she now has 1,947 career rebounds, ranking 30th in league history.

Wilson’s 17th double-double of the season is also the 93rd of her career, ranking her 7th in WNBA history for double-doubles. By recording her 17th 20-point, 10-rebound game of the season and the 69th of her career, she now ranks 5th all-time in this category.
