Ice Spice posting a photo with SZA has sparked heated debate among fans, particularly those involved in the ongoing Cleotrapa drama.

The Cleotrapa controversy has dominated headlines over the past few weeks, with accusations, rumors, and online spats causing an uproar.

Cleotrapa, who appeared in the “In Ha Mood” music video, is a friend of Ice Spice’s and was recently one of her opening acts on her Y2K! Tour in the United States. Cleotrapa took to TikTok to criticize Ice Spice’s alleged treatment of her while on tour and to explain why their friendship had ended.

On September 2, 2023, Cleotrapa launched a nearly hour-long TikTok attack on her former friend. She didn’t hold back, claiming she was “played, betrayed, and unpaid” during the performance series.

She claimed she was not properly cared for while on tour, saying, “How am I not part of the budget, but y’all invited me on tour?” She spoke after recounting an incident where she had to pay for her food.

While SZA hasn’t been directly involved in the drama, her association with Ice Spice has made fans extra cautious.

With Ice Spice seemingly getting close to the “Good Days” singer, some fans are voicing their disapproval, speculating whether Ice Spice may be “latching onto another dark-skinned girl.”

In the viral photo, the two musicians are seen posing side by side at the 2024 BMI Awards, looking stylish and relaxed. On the other hand, fans were far from calm, with Twitter quickly filling up with opinions.

“Ice pretending she got friends,” one fan wrote.

Another added, “She realizes her career is shortly ending, so now she’s trying to find all the dark skin folks.”

“Nooooo, SZA.. save yourself,” someone else pointed out.

Before the brouhaha, Ice Spice’s ex-friend, Baby Storme, claimed Ice Spice was using Cleotrapa.

“This is Cleo. The girl she chose to be her ‘best friend to the public.’ when, in reality, it was me behind the scenes. Cleo & her are not really best friends. Isis has always hated Cleo. But she used her so she could appear ‘closer to blackness.’ she also lied about being Nigerian. She stole that from me,” Baby Storme wrote on X.
