Elkhart man, 26, killed in crash on State Road 120, east of Bristol
An Elkhart man lost his life after crashing his vehicle on State Road 120. The collision happened just before 6 a.m. on Sunday, June 30, two miles east of Bristol. Fernando Diaz Calderon, 26, was traveling westbound, west of CR 131, and went left of center and exited the roadway to the south side of SR 120. He struck a mailbox and then struck a tree.

A man had his initial hearing after being arrested for arson last week. Abraham Villegas was arrested by Elkhart city police in the early hours of June 22 when the owner of the Marathon Gas Station on S. Main St. said a man was seen trying to light a gasoline well on fire.
