’90 Day Fiancé’: Angela Deem Storms Off Stage After PI Reveals Michael Ilesanmi Is Not a Scammer

Angela Deem got some answers during the latest episode of the 90 Day Fiancé : Happily Ever After? Season 8 tell-all . But they weren’t the ones she was looking for.

The TLC star had hired a private investigator to find proof that her husband, Michael Ilesanmi, was scamming her . The PI appeared on the tell-all on August 11 to reveal his findings. While Angela was fully expecting him to share details about Michael’s misdeeds, the investigator said he wasn’t able to find anything suspicious about her husband’s behavior, to Angela’s shock.

Private investigator shares what he discovered about Michael on ‘90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?’

As fans saw in the July 21 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Angela and her daughter Skyla met with a private investigator to ask him to look into Michael.

The 58-year-old from Georgia had long harbored suspicions about her Nigerian husband . Those concerns intensified following a recent trip to the Ivory Coast, where she discovered that Michael was part of a Facebook group for Nigerian men in relationships with American women. She also suspected he was looking into taking out a life insurance policy on her.

Though Angela accused Michael of scamming her for a green card, the couple continued to move forward with the spousal visa process, and Michael finally arrived in the U.S. in December 2023. But their relationship had almost completely broken down by the time they came together with the rest of the Happily Ever After? cast to film the tell-all.

On stage at the tell-all, Angela continued to accuse Michael of being a con artist who was gaslighting her. Meanwhile, Michael tried again to explain the Paradise Men group. He said that it was simply a forum for people to share information about navigating the U.S. visa process. Several other foreign spouses backed him up, saying they’d been part of similar groups.

Then, it was time for the PI to deliver his report. At first, it sounded like he may have discovered some red flags about Michael.

“Certainly, Angela does have reason to be questioning some of Michael’s behavior,” the PI, whose name is Todd, said.

Todd said he and his team embarked on an extensive investigation of Michael. The result? A 189-page report that contained no evidence that he was being dishonest.

“Does anything tell you that Michael is cheating on Angela in any way?” host Shaun Robinson asked Todd.

“To answer your question directly, no there’s not,” he replied.

Angela reacts after learning Michael is not a scammer

Before Todd revealed his findings, Angela had said that she hoped he found nothing to confirm her suspicions about Michael. But once he shared that Michael was not a scammer, she exploded.

“I don’t care,” Angela shouted after Todd delivered his findings. She then stormed off the stage.

“I don’t care what y’all think about me because I know the real motherf*cker,” she added.

Fellow 90 Day cast member Rob pointed out that the PI had conducted a thorough investigation and exonerated Michael. However, Angela claimed there was still more dirt to uncover.

“He ain’t had enough time,” she said.

After Angela left the stage, the PI reiterated that he’d found nothing concerning about Michael.

“That’s a lot of work. That’s a lot of digging … I don’t have anything,” Todd said. “I don’t have anything concrete that suggests, even implies, that he is an unethical person in terms of a relationship. I don’t. It’s not there.”

Michael says Angela’s suspicions have affected him mentally

During Angela’s tirade at the tell-all, Michael grew visibly frustrated as he tried to explain himself, only to have his wife shout over him. After she headed backstage, he opened up about how exhausting their seven-year relationship had become.

“I love her. I’m here for the right reasons,” he said. “But she doesn’t give me a chance to talk. You all can see this. Anytime I talk, she yells at me. That’s why I always keep quiet. And it’s really affecting me mentally, because I don’t talk. You know, it’s really affecting me.”

Meanwhile, the PI said that after his investigation, there was only one person in the relationship who was raising red flags: Angela.

“I don’t see any reason why Angela should be suspicious of Michael or his behavior,” Todd told producers in an interview. “A concern that I have is how adamant she is about wanting to find a lie or something wrong in the report. It’s almost like she’s not willing to accept the truth.”
