SHREVEPORT, La. ( KTAL/KMSS ) – Mayor Arceneaux is one of 39 mayors across the world selected for the eighth class of the Bloomberg Harvard Leadership Initiative .

The mayors are from 11 countries on five continents, and the program is a year-long course on professional management. In August two senior officials with the city will begin the initiative that was established by Harvard’s Kennedy School, Harvard’s Business School, and Bloomberg Philanthropies .

BHLI is a first-of-its-kind program designed to help close the gap in public sector executive development.
