When pounding rain brought sheets of water to her Southern Season Garden Party, Demoiselle Club Ball Chief Susan Snyder didn't miss a beat.
She shouldered on and brought it inside her South Highlands home where the debs and Patron Sons were introduced. Guests looked through heavy rain from panels of glass onto the exquisite, formal garden, now soggy,but still beautiful.
Rain or shine, t'was a gathering that clicked. Never a dull minute or silence as the debs and Patron Sons introduced themselves, met each others parents and posed for photos. The Dress Code? Southern Chic for the debs and coat/tie for Patron Sons.
Also working the crowd: Demoiselle Club Executive Director Lori Allen and her hubby Dr. Larry Allen, Demoiselle Club President Chris Elberson and Vice President Dr. Cooper Heard. Elberson thanked the Ball Committee for their time and effort in planning the gala holiday affair."
The gathering was a prelude to the Dec. 28 Debutante Ball at East Ridge Country Club. The formal ball is considered the holiday one of season's most glamorous and glittery of formal socials.
