    Shrewsbury 12, Belchertown 2 : Jimmy Mitchell was 4 for 4 with a homer and triple and Jack Roche struck out nine as Shrewsbury scored five times in the bottom of the first to deal Belchertown its first loss of the tournament in five innings of a American Legion State Tournament game at Fitton Field.

    Shrewsbury, which qualified as the host team, is the lone squad in the tournament without a loss and will face Lowell at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Post 397's win over Belchertown has clinched a spot in Thursday's championship game.

    Hudson 13, Hyde Park 3: Matt Gogan and Marshall Kehlhem each went 3 for 4 as every player in the starting lineup registered a hit to help Post 100 cruise past Post 78 during Day 4 of the American Legion State Tournament at Fitton Field.

    Hudson will face Belchertown in an elimination game at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Fitton Field.
