    Susan Lam ID'd In Fatal 2-Vehicle Crash: York County Coroner

    Susan Lam, of the 2400 Block of Smith Mill Road, Shrewsbury Township died at the scene of the crash at the intersection of Mt. Airy Rd. and Buchanan Avenue in Shrewsbury Township at 6:15 p.m., as detailed in the release.

    Lam struck a vehicle with two people inside who suffered injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.

    "Deputy Coroner Onalee Gilbert responded to the scene to investigate and certify the death," as stated in the release.

    There will be no autopsy, but a routine toxicology test was performed.

    Her cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt force injuries and the manner was an accident. Her identity will be released when her next of kin have been notified.

    During an extraction of one of the surviving crash victims, an EMT was struck and injured by an airbag, as Daily Voice reported citing the Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company. They were taken to WellSpan York Hospital and have since been released.

    Susan was a Baltimore native, who was a class of 1980 graduate of Dulaney High School, according to her social media. She was a cook or deli clerk at the follow establishments over the years Prettyboy Market in Freeland, Maryland, Saubel's Market, Walmart Shrewsbury, and Lamotte's Corner Bar. Most recently she worked at The Fill'Er-Up located in Parkton, MD.

    She is survived by her husband, three children, sister, grandchildren, and extended family, according to her obituary posted by Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley Inc.

    Her community has been sharing about its loss on social media.

    The family is receiving friends at the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc. 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) in Timonium, Maryland from 12 to 2 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 11.

    Guests are asked to wear "Orioles' gear in memory of Sue’s love for the team," as stated in her obituary.

    A celebration of her life will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 12.
