For the past several years there’s been a popular fresh fruit and vegetable stand in the BP gas station parking lot on West Main Street. Apparently it hasn’t been popular enough, as Jim and Kathy Schumacher kindly passed on to the Banner the sad news that Skelly’s indicates they are not returning to Whitewater this year due to insufficient sales. Family, Child Threatened in Fitchburg Road Rage Incident
Fitchburg, WI – An 18-year-old man was arrested following a road rage incident involving a firearm on Fish Hatchery Road. According to the Fitchburg Police Department, the incident occurred Thursday around 6:30 p.m. The suspect, Hector Hernandez Williams, allegedly pointed a firearm at another vehicle occupied by a man, his significant other, and their young child at a stoplight. Officers located the unoccupied suspect vehicle nearby and later apprehended Williams as he tried to return to it. Williams was still armed at the time of his arrest.
