Seattle police release video of interaction with woman who accused officers of abandoning her
Seattle’s Interim Police Chief responding after a young woman accuses officers of abandoning her after she was caught in the crossfire of a drive-by shooting. Now the chief is releasing body cam video that seems to show just that. This all went down exactly a week ago in Columbia City when a 17-year-old boy was shot in the leg. But a Seattle woman and her Uber driver were caught in the crossfire, and they felt left to fend for themselves. Chief Rahr thinks the shock of the incident may have led to a misunderstanding between responding police and the woman.
14-year-old fatally shot while riding scooter in south Seattle identified
SEATTLE — A 14-year-old boy who was fatally shot while riding a scooter in south Seattle last week has been identified. According to the Seattle Police Department, the teenager was shot around 8:20 p.m. on June 27 in the 7400 block of Rockery Drive South, which is in the city’s NewHolly neighborhood.
Chelan County Rape Charges Dropped Against Former Seattle Teacher
A 53-year-old former King County middle school teacher is cleared of wrongdoing in Chelan County after prosecutors dropped charges against him in a rape and assault case. Darren D. Hunter was accused of sexually assaulting a woman at his home in Chelan during a drug deal in July of last year.
