Central Illinois homes suffer damages after Tuesday’s storm
WASHINGTON, Ill. (WMBD) — Homes around central Illinois suffered damage during Tuesday night’s storm including one in Washington that was struck by lightning. According to Washington Assistant Fire Chief Tyler Gee, fire crews from four departments arrived to help put out the fire that the lightning started just after 10 p.m. on Peoria Street. Gee said the fire started in the first-floor attic and then spread to the second floor.
