Illinois, You’re Using The Center Turning Lane Absolutely Wrong
In 2024, there have been over 500 car crashes in Illinois and 140 in Iowa. It's easy to assume that most of those crashes happen along highways, interstates, and main thoroughfares in cities in towns. The causes of those accidents are hard to find but I'm sure a few of them include people not using the center turning lane incorrectly.

“Illinois Troops at the Battle of Gettysburg” Leads July 16th TAPS ON TUESDAY
On Tuesday, July 9th, “Taps on Tuesday” was sounded at 6:00 p.m. in a light rain, but the program on “Illinois Troops at the Battle of Gettysburg” was postponed until this week’s “Taps” Program. This week’s program hosts and speakers are Greg Green, Larry Weatherford, and Tara Auter. Rebecca Woodrum will perform the National Anthem, and “Taps” will be presented by Ruth Sowers. “Taps on Tuesday” is held each week between Memorial Day and the day after Labor Day at the Soldiers Circle at Spring Hill Cemetery in Danville. Presented by the Vermilion County War Museum and the Ward Hill Lamon Civil War Roundtable.
