SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — River-Cade has announced this year’s parade marshals for the annual River-Cade Parade.

The marshals for this year’s parade are Brent and Paula Stockton. The couple has spent most of their lives in the Siouxland area and attended many River-Cade events on the riverfront in the 60s and 70s.

The Stocktons have owned and operated a graphic design and print business for 22 years in South Sioux City. They have also been active in the community with swim clubs, little league baseball, and other youth groups. They started the Alley Art Festival in 2019 and have been involved in several art clubs, the Riverssance, Saturday in the Park, and more.

The River-Cade Parade will hold its 61st annual parade on Wednesday, July 17 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The route will start at 3rd and Court, travel down 3rd Street to Pierce Street, then down Pierce Street to the Long Lines Rec Center parking lot. There will also be a Dairy Queen Ice Cream Social and Smile contest finals at the Long Lines Rec Center immediately following the parade.
