SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – The Siouxland United Outlaws have returned home after a big win, turning its focus to a critical portion of its season led by an important match tomorrow night on the road.

The Outlaws snapped its two-match losing streak with a pair of big wins, defeating the Minnesota Blizzard 3-2 followed by a 3-0 shutout win over Joy St. Louis Park, keeping Siouxland United FC in the mix for a playoff spot.

They’ve got a hill to climb, currently sitting in fifth place in the North Conference, and it starts with tomorrow night’s matchup with conference leader Dakota Fusion FC. The Fusion have allowed just one goal all season.

Siouxland United was defeated by the Fusion at home, but took plenty away from that match hoping it’ll serve key into the rematch.

“It was a really good matchup last time here. Unfortunately they went away with the win, but we felt that we did a lot of things right and we just kind of got punished once or twice, here and there. We’re going to stick to what we’re doing, it’s going well. We’ve got a great vibe, we really have belief in our game plan that we can take some of their strengths away.” Siouxland United FC left back and captain Kenny Hewitt said. Like I said, it’s that extra sense of belief now that we’re finding. We’ve kind of breaking that streak, so I feel we have a positive chance.”

The match will take place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 29th.
