SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Sioux City’s annual GreekFest is fast approaching.

The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Sioux City is once again hosting the festival this year. It will take place this weekend from Friday, July 26 through Sunday, July 28.

The event offers authentic cuisine, live music, and traditional dances.

“GreekFest is when we transform our parking lot into basically a little snippet of Greece… I think we’re one of the only Greek festivals where everything is homemade,” GreekFest’s Leah Bariatakis-Pike told KCAU 9.

    Festivities will run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.

GreekFest is also seeking volunteers to help out. Anyone interested can message them on Facebook or call them at 712-899-1268.

Bariatakis-Pike stopped by the KCAU 9 studio Tuesday to talk about this year’s edition of the festival. You can view the interview in the video player above.

KCAU 9 is a proud sponsor of this event.
