SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Sioux Falls native and former SDSU offensive lineman Mason McCormick is gearing up for his rookie season in the NFL.

The 6’5 lineman is just a few weeks away from his first training camp with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The All-American was selected in the fourth round of last spring’s NFL Draft. Although he was projected to potentially be taken early, the Roosevelt product feels as though he’s in the perfect spot with the six-time Super Bowl champions.

“Steelers have been awesome. A lot of amazing people in our in our organization. It has a such a rich tradition, and it’s definitely the place I wanted to be. And I’m with so many good guys, and my rookie class is awesome,” Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman Mason McCormick said.

McCormick said the Steelers start training camp on July 24. They begin the season in Atlanta week one.
