    Sioux Falls City falls to FC Pride in region semis

    SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — After double overtime penalty kicks decided the fate of the WPSL Central Region semifinal, and it would not fair in Sioux Falls favor. FC pride won 5-4 in penalty kicks sending them to the Central Region Championship.

    Both teams were tied at two entering into double overtime and towards the end Sioux falls would trail 3-2 until the knotted the game in the 110th minute.

    With the WPSL Central Region being hosted in Sioux Falls, the Central Region Championship is set for 4:00 PM Sunday where FC Pride will face Union Kansas City.

    Sioux Falls City Football Club finishes the season 9-0-1 and it was the team’s first WPSL postseason appearance in match in program history.
