SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – The Summit League basketball tournament is changing days.

    From small-town SD to Nashville

On Wednesday, the league announced the 2025 and 2026 basketball championships will be held on Wednesday-Sunday schedule instead of the previous Friday-Tuesday schedule. For 2025, the dates are March 5-9 and in 2026, the dates are March 4-8.

All nine schools will play in the postseason tournament with the championship games shifting to Sunday instead of the Tuesday dates.

“The Summit League Basketball Championships are among the best conference tournaments across all of Division I, and we are continually working on ways to enhance the experiences for fans and student-athletes,” Summit League Commissioner Josh Fenton said in a news release. “The slight adjustment on the dates will provide our fans an opportunity to watch great basketball as the week finishes with the most meaningful games being played over the weekend.”

You can find a full schedule of the tournament games attached below.
