SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Minnesota Wild will be hosting a Little Wild Learn to Play program at Midco Arena this September, which marks the first time the program is venturing outside the state of Minnesota.

Children ages 5-8 are eligible for the camp that runs on the four Tuesdays in September. The camp costs $189.

The objective of the camp is to introduce youngsters to the game of hockey.

“The Sioux Falls community has a real appetite for Minnesota’s professional sports,” Augustana head coach Garrett Raboin said. “Not only that, but I think they’re seeing the growth in our hockey community, and they think there’s tremendous value in bringing the Little Wild program down to Sioux Falls.”

Each child who participates in the event will receive a free ticket to a designated Wild game.
