Hiawatha Music Festival sees big crowds for 2nd day

UPDATE: Woman dies at McCarty’s Cove, incident under investigation
MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – UPDATE 2:27 p.m.: A California woman died at Marquette’s McCarty’s Cove beach Friday afternoon. Marquette City Police were called to the beach around 12:20 p.m. for an AED incident. Lifeguards had pulled the unresponsive 63-year-old woman from shallow water and administered CPR. Marquette City Fire and UPHS – Marquette EMS continued CPR when they got on scene, but the woman ultimately died on the beach.

(WLUC) - Friday’s technology outage caused by a faulty software update grounded flights and impacted hospital systems, government offices and other businesses worldwide; however, the Upper Peninsula emerged relatively unscathed.
