Liverpool resident dies while on Army National Guard training mission in Alaska
Liverpool, NY - The day before Michael Scott Stone, 46, died while on a training mission in Alaska, he spoke by phone to his longtime girlfriend. Stone told her how he and a couple other friends had played some younger guys in a pick-up football game, and he’d won.
Listeria outbreak sickens at least 12 in New York
NEW YORK – At least a dozen cases of listeria have been reported across New York state in connection to a national outbreak linked to deli meat.The state Health Department said four of those cases were in New York City, two were in Suffolk County and one was in Nassau County. SU dome renovations continue with new state grant
Just over a month before football season starts at Syracuse University, dome renovations continue as new chair back seats are installed. The seat renovations are the last piece of a wider $120 million dome renovation plan. New York Assembly Speaker Carl Hastie and Assembly Member Bill Magnarelli announced a new $3 million grant for the JMA Wireless Dome this week. Magnarelli said the grant is meant to help make up for some increasing construction costs.
