Skiatook Police arrest man who attempted to meet with underage girl

SKIATOOK, Okla. — The Skiatook Police Department arrested a man who attempted to meet with a girl he believed was underage during an undercover sting.

Police say Samuel Gile met at an undisclosed location to meet an underaged girl for sexual relations on Thursday.

The arrest came after an undercover operation from Skiatook Police.

Police say Gile is facing charges of lewd proposals to a minor, showing obscene material to a child and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

Skiatook Police encourage parents to monitor children's social media and cell phone use and report any suspicious contact or activity.
