MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – Paul Deaton, the head Cross Country Coach has announced the introduction of some key runners to the women’s team for the 2024 season. Mary Kyle Kitchens-Hayes From Richmond Hill, Georgia, Kitchens-Hayes is the daughter of Chick and Kimberly and sister to Wyatt. She enjoys apprenticing on Nubian dairy goat farm, spending time with friends and family, volunteering with the US Fish and Wildlife service and the GA Coast. Louisville Slugger Museum opens exhibit on Savannah Bananas
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A temporary exhibit showcasing the Savannah Bananas opened this week at the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory. The Savannah Bananas will take on the Party Animals from Aug. 1-3 at Louisville Slugger Field in downtown Louisville. Coinciding with the team's visit to Louisville, the museum has an array of memorabilia for both teams.
Jarrett Named To Preseason All-SIAC Team
Allen University offensive lineman and Savannah native Terrence Jarrett has been named to the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Preseason All-SIAC Second Team. Jarrett (6-3, 290) is set to return for his senior season at Allen and brings back with him consecutive seasons with starts at right tackle, including starting all 10 games in 2023 at the position. The Sol C.Johnson High School grad helped lead a Yellow Jackets’ offensive line that opened lanes for 1,327 rushing yards and provided protection for 3,222 passing yards to go along with 24 total touchdowns for the team.
