HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) reports the Kentucky State Police plan to close both northbound lanes of Interstate 69 at Slaughters on Thursday morning to complete a crash reconstruction KSP was unable to conclude due to weather.

Officials say heavy rainfall in the early morning hours prevented the KSP from completing its investigation of a crash on Wednesday. KSP now plans to close both northbound lanes from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday to complete that work.

The KYTC says northbound traffic can detour around the closure by taking Exit 125 to KY 138, then following KY 138 one mile west to U.S. 41. The nearest onramp to return to the interstate is on KY 56, about 18 miles away near Sebree.
