SLIPPERY ROCK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJW) – A 10-year-old girl is fighting for her life in the hospital after a Pennsylvania car crash killed her father and siblings over the weekend.

The crash happened early Saturday morning in Slippery Rock Township in Lawrence County.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the vehicle went off the side of State Route 65 for “an unknown reason” and hit two utility poles and a parked car before becoming “airborne,” crashing into multiple trees.

The driver, 44-year-old Nathan Bogacki, and two teens, 17-year-old Emma Bogacki and 13-year-old Grant Bogacki, were killed in the crash.

The only survivor, 10-year-old Aubrey Bogacki, was flown to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh with severe injuries.

The Howland Local School District confirmed that two of the children, Aubrey and Grant, are middle school students in the district. Superintendent Kevin Spicher released a statement on the tragedy Tuesday.

“I am saddened to inform you that one of our families with children enrolled in our middle school has recently suffered a most tragic loss, resulting from an automobile crash,” said Superintendent Spicher on Facebook. “We know a variety of emotions will follow and want to be there to support this family’s mother, Nicole, as she and her extended family grieve and work to cope with this tragedy and the recovery of Aubrey.”

The school district is offering counseling and emotional support.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
