NineDot Energy Upsizes Revolving Credit Facility to $50 Million
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul 17, 2024-- NineDot Energy ®, the leading developer of community-scale battery storage projects in the New York City metro area, today announced the closing of an additional $25 million revolving credit facility provided by NY Green Bank (NYGB), a division of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). This facility extends and increases the early-stage standalone storage financing completed by NYGB — announced one year ago — to $50 million. For NineDot Energy, this financing will help fund the Company’s growing pipeline of battery storage projects being built which supports New York’s transition to cleaner, more sustainable energy sources, and is consistent with NineDot’s goal of having 400 megawatts (1600 megawatt hours) of battery storage in development or operation by the end of 2026. Zeckendorf, Atlas Capital nab $1B for luxury project on Hudson
Zeckendorf Development and Atlas Capital Group have secured a $1 billion loan to finance the project at 80 Clarkson Street, the New York Post reported. The loan, which may be Manhattan’s largest residential construction loan since before the pandemic, was provided by London-based Cale Street Partners and San Francisco-based Farallon Capital Management. The financing was arranged by a Newmark team led by Jordan Roeschlaub.
FBI raid of Mayor Adams official uncovers illegal construction
An FBI raid of KSK Construction tied to NYC Mayor Eric Adams uncovered an illegal residential project in the East Village, Gothamist reported. KSK failed to obtain permits for the 12-story project at 280 East Houston St. to begin the above-ground work on the project. The city’s buildings department told Gothamist it did not notice the oversight until the publication inquired about it last month. By then, the 157-unit project already had five stories built.

Doulas En Espanol, a collective of about 20 Spanish-speaking doulas that provide free doula services to the Hispanic community in the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, hosted its sixth event at the CUNY Graduate Center on Friday for expecting and postpartum migrant mothers. The monthly event, called “Mamita” events, has been operating since January of 2024 and brings in dozens of migrant mothers from across New York City each month looking for a space to meet with other expecting or postpartum mothers, while also receiving free strollers, car seats, baby clothes and other postpartum items.
