Explosion Destroys Mailbox in North Sacramento County
SACRAMENTO, California — An explosion on the 8800 block of Redwater Drive in North Sacramento County destroyed a neighborhood mailbox Thursday night. Sheriffs North Patrol deputies responded to the scene and found a parcel locker obliterated. The Sheriffs Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD/Bomb Squad) Detail conducted a post-blast investigation, recovering pieces of the explosive device and portions of the parcel box as evidence, according to the Sacramento County Sheriffs Office. The case has been forwarded to the Postal Inspector for further investigation.
