Is it yours? $5.7M winning lottery ticket sold in Snowmass

DENVER ( KDVR ) — On Wednesday night, one lucky person walked out of a store in Snowmass Village with a multi-million dollar winning lottery ticket. Now, they just have to claim it.

According to the Colorado Lottery , a Colorado Lotto+ ticket worth $5,727,684, with a cash option of $2,061,966, was purchased at Sundance Drug & Liquor.

This is one of many recent winners of Colorado Lotto+. In the past few days, many people across the state have won just over a thousand dollars. However, the last time someone won this big was in April when one person purchased a ticket in Wray worth $7 million .

This winning ticket is among the top 20 highest payouts for the Colorado Lotto+.

As of Thursday morning, the Colorado Lottery is still waiting for someone to claim the multimillion-dollar ticket.

The winner has 180 days after the drawing to claim the ticket. If they don’t, the money goes into the beneficiary fund where it is distributed to Great Outdoors Colorado, the Conservation Trust fund and Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

It wouldn’t be uncommon for the ticket to go unclaimed. The ticket would be among one of the many unlucky winners who didn’t claim their tickets in time.

Based on the unclaimed prize records for the Colorado Lottery this year, as of early July, Colorado lottery players have collectively missed out on over a million dollars in unclaimed tickets .
