The day before her final episode of Days of Our Lives aired on July 29, Arianne Zucker took to social media to bid Salem farewell and express her gratitude to her loyal fans. Set to Kacey Musgrave’s cover of the Elvis Presley classic “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” the actress shared a video featuring photos and video clips from her time on DAYS going all the way back to when she first started out on the soap.

“I loved my job,” she wrote. “I loved my friends. I loved my co-workers, but most of all I love all of you. When someone says you are irreplaceable… maybe, but the heart of an individual is not. I gave all my heart and always will. I could never have had this job unless I had all of you. From the bottom of my heart and beyond, I can’t thank you enough for loving to hate Nicole and for loving her again and she changed in life with all of you. Thank you for being a part of my journey. This is an adventure that will live with me forever. Thank you for standing up for what is right.”

Zucker concluded by sharing her undying gratitude for everyone who supported her when she filed a lawsuit against Corday Productions, Inc., the soap’s executive producer, Ken Corday, and former executive producer Albert Alarr. “Thank you for standing by me,” she said. “Thank you for acknowledging what this industry so easily takes advantage of. I will forever stand for you. I love you!”

Zucker made her debut as Nicole Walker back in 1998, and her original run on DAYS lasted until 2006. She came back for another stint that ran from 2008-17. After a brief appearance in October 2018, she returned full-time in April 2019 before exiting in July 2024.

Even though Nicole and Eric left Salem with Baby Jude to live happily ever after in Europe, both characters have come and gone from the soap numerous times over the years so who’s to say this is definitely the last we’ll see of either of them? Who knows what the future may hold? Soaps are unpredictable, and especially DAYS!
