DAYS' Bryan Dattilo Teases His New Movie Role!

Lucas may have said farewell to Salem back in June, but Days of Our Lives star Bryan Dattilo is keeping busy outside of daytime. The actor recently shared a selfie teasing a new movie that he’s going to be starring in!

“Just completed a fitting for a film,” Dattilo wrote, showing himself wearing a beat-up gray hat and layers of coat, jacket, shirt, and scarf. “Always wanted to do a western.”

Unfortunately, he didn’t reveal any further details about his new project, but it would definitely be the first western the actor adds to his resume. Which is surprising, given how perfect Dattilo looks as a cowboy!

Dattilo’s career began back in the ‘80s with appearances on television shows like Charles in Charge, In the Heat of the Night, and Doogie Howser, M.D. He has starred in science fiction, with the 1993 movie Arcade, but no western yet.

Dattilo joined the cast of DAYS back in 1993 as Lucas Roberts , and remained with the soap until February 2001. He returned later that year and exited again in February 2010. The actor was back in Salem in February 2012, though in more recent years he has come and gone frequently. His most recent stint ran from October 2023 through June 2024. Though he’s likely to pop up again at any time!

Naturally, fans and friends congratulated Dattilo on his new role, including some of his DAYS castmates like Martha Madison (ex-Belle), Brandon Barash (Stefan), and Kristian Alfonso (ex-Hope). Christopher Sean (Paul) cheered: “You’re going to be fantastic!” and Alison Sweeney declared: “Looks good on you!”
