Brynlee Slockett, Nolan Seagren voted Press-Citizen's Athletes of the Week

Liberty softball player Brynlee Slockett and Solon baseball player Nolan Seagren were voted by Press-Citizen readers as the Athletes of the Week for the week of June 24-30.

Slockett won girls Athlete of the Week with 36% of the vote. Solon softball player Addie Miller placed second with 26%.

Slockett provided a huge offensive boost for Liberty in a 7-2 win over Dubuque Senior on June 25. The Liberty senior went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and one run. Slockett also had a stolen base.

Seagren earned boys Athlete of the Week with 33% of the vote. Liberty baseball’s Mason Waterbury earned second place with 26% of the vote.

Seagren turned in a great performance during Solon's 10-2 win over rival Clear Creek Amana on June 27. The Solon junior went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two hits over the Clippers.
