Just after 2 p.m., troopers were dispatched to Lovell Street in Somers after receiving a report of a man breaking into the caller’s house and stealing property.  The suspect fled the area before officers arrived, but was spotted stealing a nearby vehicle by another resident. The vehicle was found unoccupied in Carmel, and Kennon was apprehended at a nearby apartment complex with  assistance from the Carmel Police Department.

Kennon was arraigned in Somers Town Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. He is due back in court on August 5.
