PLAINFIELD, NJ — At last week's Plainfield City Council meeting, the governing body voted unanimously to approve the production and airing of a new commercial. It will cost $70,000, which will be paid with Urban Enterprise Zone funds, and will hit the television channels as well as digital platforms. Carter Road Bridge Over Beden’s Brook to be Replaced
On or about July 29, 2024, Mercer County will begin the replacement of the bridge on Carter Road over Beden's Brook in Hopewell Township. This bridge is adjacent to St. Michael’s Preserve. The project is expected to take approximately 9 months, weather permitting. During this time Carter Road traffic will remain open to the traveling public, with alternating traffic control. There will be two 3-day periods when the road will be completely closed to traffic. Be sure to follow all posted detours and slow down in the work area for safety.
Sayreville Passes Ordinance Designating The Flags Approved Flags to Fly Above Borough Hall
SAYREVILLE, NJ - The Sayreville Borough Council passed an ordinance during their Monday, July 15, regular meeting allowing only certain flags to be flown in front of Borough Hall: the American Flag, the New Jersey Flag, and the Prisoner of War/Missing in Action (POW/MIA) flags. This ordinance passed by a 5-1 margin with Christian Onuoha as the only dissenting vote.
