Whole Lotta Led Pays Tribute to Led Zeppelin in Somerville on Summer Stage July 27

SOMERVILLE, NJ - Whole Lotta Led, a New Jersey-based Led Zeppelin tribute band, will perform on the Summer Stage Saturday night, Aug. 3, beginning at 6 p.m.
The entire performance will be covers from the seminal English rock band, producing hits like "Whole Lotta Love" and "Stairway to Heaven."
Led Zeppelin evolved from a previous band, the Yardbirds , and were originally named the New Yardbirds . They signed a deal with Atlantic Records that gave them considerable artistic freedom. Initially unpopular with critics, they achieved significant commercial success with eight studio albums over ten years.
The concert series is sponsored and hosted by the Downtown Somerville Alliance. The free concerts have expanded to include shows on the first Friday night of each month, according to Michelle Kassick, coordinator of the DSA concerts.
Friday shows will start at 7 p.m. The schedule includes:
Aug. 2nd - The JJ Lynch Band;
Sept 6th - Kit and The Cat Dragged In.
The Saturday night shows, from 6-9 p.m., are scheduled through Sept. 14.
The Saturday night line-up:
July 27th - Whole Lotta Led;
Aug. 3rd - Two Broke Vets;
Aug. 10th - Stereo Circus;
Aug. 17th - Diamond Eye Jack;
Aug. 24th - Rockhorse;
Aug. 31st - MPack Band;
Sept. 7th - Bob Lanza;
Sept. 14th - Junkyard Dawgs.
Concert goers are encouraged to bring their own chairs and/or blankets.
