Have a gala dinner with Hollywood legend in Sonoma

How would you like to have Sunday dinner with Robert Redford? Yes, THAT Robert Redford.

You can, this Sunday at the gala dinner for Festival del Sole, a music and culinary festival taking place Aug. 1-4 at the Green Music Center in Rohnert Park and at a number of wineries.

The gala dinner and auction will take place at Buena Vista Winery in Sonoma at 8:30 p.m. Sunday and is hosted by owner and vintner Jean-Charles Boisset.

The event will feature a multicourse menu and Buena Vista wines, including a Bordeaux wine crafted especially for The Way of the Rain, a nonprofit founded by Sibylle Szaggars Redford that promotes artistic performances that raise awareness about the environment.

Both Szaggars Redford and her Hollywood legend husband will be at the $500-per-person dinner in Sonoma.

The wine and culinary series also includes lunches at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday at Three Sticks Winery and on Friday at Freeman Vineyard and Winery in Sebastopol. Tickets for the luncheons are $190 each.
