High School Student from Edison Granted Scholarship for Organ Donation Advocacy
EDISON, NJ - A high school student from Edison Township is one of seven in the state to receive a scholarship for Advocacy and Support of Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation from the NJ Sharing Network. Anika Bhatnagar is a 2024 Middlesex Academy for Allied Health and Biomedical Sciences graduate and the recipient of a scholarship from Missy’s Miracle Scholarship Fund. RAHWAY, NJ — On Monday, June 17, Fresh Start Second Chances, Inc. hosted its Annual Scholarship Workshop Ceremony at Sweet Bliss Event Space in Rahway. The event celebrated Rahway High School (RHS) seniors who participated in a five-month workshop dedicated to researching, drafting, revising, and submitting scholarship applications. Big Wins for Piscataway Boys Basketball at Summer Tournaments
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Although the school year and high school sports seasons have ended for 2023-2024, Piscataway’s boys basketball continues to compete, even during the summer. The win comes off a tough 44-41 loss to Hunterdon Central in their first game of the New Jersey Basketball Coaches Association’s (NJBCA) Boys Jersey Live 2024 tournament at Montgomery High School in Skillman on June 22. Vaughn Turner, a rising senior, led Piscataway in scoring with 13 points. The Chiefs went on to defeat Trenton Central High School, 76-43 in their second game of the morning. BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J. – Thanks to a grant from the Berkeley Heights Education Foundation (BHEF), a new communication board has been installed at the Mary Kay McMillin Early Childhood Center. This board is designed to promote inclusivity by providing a clear and effective means of communication for all students, ensuring that every child can fully participate in playground activities. The grant proposal was prepared by Anthony Passalacqua, a Teacher of Special Education, and Suzanne Morley, a Speech-Language Pathologist. "We are eager to see the positive impact it will have on our students' experiences and interactions," said Passalacqua.
