WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW baseball alum Brooks Baldwin made his Major League Baseball debut on Friday for the Chicago White Sox, in Kansas City, against the Royals. Baldwin, who is in his third season of professional baseball, joined Greg Jones and Landen Roupp as Seahawks who made their MLB debuts this season. Pedestrian fatally struck on Bishop Ford Freeway
COOK COUNTY, Ill. - A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car on the Bishop Ford Freeway, shutting down all outbound lanes Monday morning. The pedestrian, who was a driver involved in a previous crash, was trying to cross traffic from their disabled vehicle in the middle lane when they were struck by a passing car around 2:23 a.m. near 159th Street, according to Illinois State Police.
