Dinosaur lovers, get ready: Indiana is getting its very own dinosaur museum.

It was built by the president of the South Bend Chocolate Co., Mark Tarner, who has a passion for paleontology. A new chocolate production plant for the company is part of the museum. So yes, there will be chocolate dinosaurs.

The museum opens this week in South Bend. Here's what to know.

What is there to do at the Indiana Dinosaur Museum?

The museum itself boasts 30 dinosaur skeletons, 43 dinosaur sculptures, a research library and working paleontology lab.

However, the 90-acre site also has an outdoor park with a trail system, a farm store, access to the South Bend Chocolate Company plant that you can tour and a restaurant/pub called South Bend Public House.

Like any good museum, there's also a souvenir shop where guests can purchase chocolate dinosaurs and more.
