South Boston PD investigating gunshots near Fenton St

HALIFAX COUNTY, Va. ( WFXR ) — The South Boston Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at the intersection of Fenton Street and Ellyson Avenue early morning of Saturday, July 13.

According to the police department, officers were dispatched to the intersection after receiving a call for gunshots in the area. On the scene, twenty-two 9mm casings, five .223 casings, as well as damage to a nearby home and two vehicles were allegedly found.

Police say the residents inside the home were unharmed and no injuries have currently been reported from the scene.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have currently been made. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 434-575-4271 or anonymously by calling the Halifax County Crime Line at 434-476-8445.
