Reportedly, Sam ended a situationship with a woman on the day he left to film the iconic dating competition. She had no idea he had even applied.

Sam McKinney’s former love interest stepped forward to paint an unflattering picture of the The Bachelorette contestant. According to a TikTok uploaded by user raeleylorine, McKinney was seeing someone before he left to film The Bachelorette.

While that wouldn’t be a big deal normally, the 27-year-old allegedly ended his romance on the day he left to film the series, claiming his love interest didn’t share her feelings with him, so he opted to do the show instead. Raeley said she met McKinney in October 2023 while on a bachelorette trip in Nashville. She said she and McKinney stayed in touch and were dating when he opted to appear on The Bachelorette.

Raeley, the creator of the video and the woman McKinney was involved with before filming, connected with Reality Steve about the situation. According to Reality Steve, the romance wasn’t exactly a committed relationship, but the duo spent time together, traveled to visit each other, and met each other’s families before McKinney flew out to film the series.

The TikTok situation grew even more intense when Reality Steve connected with McKinney’s ex-fiance. The podcaster noted that one of McKinney’s previous relationships ended when his fiance cheated on him. The ex, who was not named, told Reality Steve that there was more to the story than her cheating. She said that she and McKinney were still hooking up after the cheating revelation. Reportedly, McKinney spent time with his former fiance until around January 2024, months after he started spending time with Raeley.

How far does Sam McKinney make it on ‘The Bachelorette’?

Sam Mckinney might have won Jenn Tran’s attention in the season opener of The Bachelorette, but if spoilers are to be believed, the South Carolina native isn’t the one Tran picks at the end of the season. In fact, it doesn’t look like Sam makes it too terribly far into the competition.

Spoilers are currently out regarding which contestants are granted a date in their hometown with Tran, and Myrtle Beach, where McKinney is from, is missing from the list of locales. Still, it’s impossible to tell exactly when he gets booted. As of press time, he is still in the competition, and many fans would love to see him continue competing for Tran’s affection.
