Road Work Set For Jackson and Concord Townships
Several local roads will be shut down later this week in Jackson and Concord Townships. In Jackson Township, Pattison Street Extension will be closed for three to four weeks beginning Wednesday. The closure will run from Autumn Wood Drive to Gate Dancer/Old Ehrman Road in Cranberry Township. Access from Hartzell Road to Pattison will also be closed.
Five Pa. girls wrestlers garner gold medals at USA Junior Nationals
Five Pennsylvania girls wrestlers took home gold medals Sunday night at the USA Wrestling Junior Nationals in Fargo. N.D. Haylie Jaffe, a Kennett High School graduate and McKendree University commit, outscored her opponents 62-0 en route to the top prize at 140 pounds in the Junior Women’s freestyle bracket. Jaffe was the lone Pennsylvania gold medalist in the Junior Women’s Bracket after defeating Aleksandra Bastaic of Indiana by a 100 count.

Multiple counties in Central PA announce extended senior center hours to help keep older residents cool
LANCASTER, Pa. — As the temperatures continue to soar on Monday, several area senior centers are offering extended hours to help keep Central Pennsylvania seniors cool. The Lancaster County Office of Aging announced that eight senior centers across the county will offer extended hours, while the Franklin County Area Agency on Aging said it will open three of its locations longer on Monday and Tuesday to help its seniors escape the heat.
