LOS ANGELES - A California teen continues to make waves after qualifying for the Olympic trials this summer. Swimming prodigy Gabi Brito has already broken records in California. At just 13 years old, she swam the 50-meter freestyle race in 25.42 seconds. Hancock's Erwin Taomi signs with USC for offense
The USC football coaching staff saw St. Joseph High School graduate Erwin Taomi in action during a football camp last June. Apparently, Taomi left quite an impression. Taomi signed Wednesday in the St. Joseph library to play football for USC on a full-ride scholarship. Taomi played on the defensive line and at offensive tackle at Hancock College for one season after graduating from St. Joseph in the spring of 2023. Taomi said he will play strictly on offense at USC.
