Glens Falls declares emergency, severe weather causes damage across the Capital Region
ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Glens Falls declared a state of emergency Tuesday evening, according to the city's press release. Barton Mines inducted into state's Historic Business Preservation Registry
NORTH RIVER | Sen. Dan Stec (R,C-Queensbury) presented the management and staff of Barton Mines Corporation (Barton) with a certificate inducting the company into the New York State Historic Business Preservation Registry. Stec nominated Barton for this honor, citing its lengthy history and the continued importance the company has in the region through its operations in the towns of Johnsburg and Indian Lake and the City of Glens Falls.
Saratoga Springs paid parking program continues into horse racing season

Saratoga Springs Department of Public Works Commissioner Jason Golub is resigning his position to take a job with the New York State Department of Corrections. Golub, who in 2022 became the first Black person to serve on the Saratoga Springs City Council, has been named general counsel and deputy commissioner of the Department of Corrections.
